#MagicATM is the 21st episode of the first season of Sam & Cat. It aired on January 4, 2014.

Plot Edit

Cat shows Sam an ATM, at a convenience store called Handy Quick, which gives away "free" money when she enters a code whose tones play the tune "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" (which Cat parodies with her own version). Once Cat gets some money from the machine, the two go to the mall and buy lots of stuff, including meats from "Omagod Meats" which seem expensive. Later, Dice enlists the girls to obtain sleeping pills for his Aunt Ferjeen's pet monkey before she leaves for Japan, while he attends the Burbank Spelling Bee tournament. When the girls run low on money, Cat decides to go back to that ATM, but Sam is reluctant to get any more money from it for fear they would get caught. Cat tempts Sam with benefits the money would bring, especially more fried chicken, which is enough for Sam to give in. After obtaining the monkey sleeping pills from Pet-Mergency the next day, Sam and Cat head to the Handy Quick. As Cat types in the tones, the store's clerk Yokvish catches Cat in the act of emptying the ATM. Yokvish informs an approaching policeman, Officer Kelvin, who arrests Cat on the spot. Sam finds a way to get into trouble so she can be with Cat, who she says cannot handle the jail life. On the way to the police station, Officer Kelvin spots a speeding car which turns out to be stolen. However, he eats some of the monkey sleeping pills he confiscated from the girls and falls asleep. Sam gains control of the police car, then catches the thief (a known criminal who abandons the stolen car) and beats him up while Cat relays what happens to the police dispatcher. Later at the apartment, the police repossess everything Sam and Cat bought with the stolen money, including Sam's meats. The two are told they need to pay back $4,000 (the amount of money they took). Yokvish doesn't press charges against them as he tries to get Officer Kelvin to take a profile picture of him. Sam and Cat get off the hook even further after the police officials discuss the criminal Sam caught, who was wanted in three states, resulting in a reward of $5,000. So they wind up $1,000 ahead. Cat then rejoices by singing her parody of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" as the police, Yokvish, Dice (who won the Burbank Spelling Bee) and Herb join in. Afterwards, an unimpressed Sam says, "That's not how the song goes."
